Mark has been Vicar at St Paul's since 1999 although his association with Camberley goes back to 1973 when he was an Officer Cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Born and educated in Walsall, West Midlands he was commissioned into the Royal Corps of Transport, studied politics at Lancaster University and served in Germany, Cyprus and Hong Kong.

After leaving the army in 1986, in obedience to what he felt was a call from God to offer himself for ordination, Mark trained at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, served his curacy at St Andrew's, Plymouth and his first post as Vicar at Christ Church, Burney Lane, Birmingham.

Mark in Afghanistan
Mark is also a Territorial Army chaplain attached to the Royal Yeomanry and completed an operational tour in Afghanistan with the Commando Gunners in summer 2011.

Mark Horse Jumping He is married to Zillah, has two grown up sons, a dog who takes her 'receptionist' duties at his place of work very seriously, and a cat who condescends to visit the vicarage from time to time!

He enjoys horse riding on his day off, caravan holidays and fitness training when he has the energy.

Mark is passionate about working in partnership with other denominational leaders and in developing both himself and others into Christian leaders who are able to make a difference for Jesus Christ in the communities in which they live and work.
